Dear 3rd Grade Spring Breakers,
I know Spring Break is all about relaxing, having fun, and not thinking TOO much about school. BUT, if you are looking for some extra points to earn for the last quarter, you get bored at home, or you just love to keep learning and exercising your brain, here are some ways to earn some points while you are on Spring Break.
#1 Create a Math story on Storybird. There is a link on the blog if you forgot how to get there. You can write another multiplication story, a division story, or a fraction story. Remember you are writing word problems. You can use your old story to help you remember what to do.
#2 Study your multiplication facts!! Use flashcards, write them down, etc. Have your parents write me a note or post on the blog that you worked on these at least 8 times over the break.
#3 Design me a picture using the shapes we have learned about in the last few weeks before break. Use squares, rectangles, trapezoids, pentagons, hexagons, etc.
#4 Post on our blog something fun you did over Spring Break. Let me know what you are up to and how much fun you are having!
#5 Your choice. If you (or you and your parents) come up with a project you would like to do, create, etc. using anything we have learned so far this year - go for it. If you aren't sure about it and want to ask me then feel free to email or post on the blog and I will get back to you as soon as I can. This can include Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts.
Feel free to choose one, two, three or ALL of the above choices. You can also choose to just relax and not do any of these!
I will grade these based mostly on the effort you have put into these choices. You will get 5 points for completing any of them. However, the more effort you have clearly put into each of these choices, the more points you will receive.

I just got back from Morehead city yesterday.I got on a boat and went to an island called Shackleford Banks.My mom and I got lots of shells.My dad my mom my brother and I saw 10 horses and 8 dolphins.It was super fun!!!

I spent most of my Spring Break in Charleston SC. We had a great time vistiting my grandparents. We had a Easter egg
ReplyDeletehunt at my grandparents house after church it was a challenge
to find the hinden eggs,I found 23 eggs but 5 eggs with 1 dollar bill in each egg. I also had a chance to go to the pool with my cousin because of the warm weather. Last but not least we had a surprise birthday party for my uncle. My dad grilled oysters in a grill that my uncle John invented, also I had clams and shrimp. I forgot to tell you that Charleston has the best seafood ever if you like seafood. Well that is all for now. Hope your spring break was wonderful also.

On the first day of spring break I went to Duke gardens.My mom took pictures of us. I had to wear a dress. I hate dresses! The next day we decorated eggs for Easter. For Easter I got a sketch book and 72 colored pencils and candy. Then on Monday I watched rise of the guardians It was funny,We went to the museum with my friend.I went to hike at the Eno. On Saturday I spent the night at Mary Madeline's house.

We stayed up to 12:00. We watched this funny movie and played games . It was super fun.
